It looks like the Utah Offense just keeps getting good news. Two nights ago we found out Travis Wilson had been cleared to rejoin the team, at least for non-contact drills. Then yesterday, we find out that Devontae Booker would actually be eligible.
And now we welcome Oklahoma transfer QB, Kendal Thompson.
A week ago Hoyo’s Revenge told you about Kendal Thompson. He is the son of the infamous Charles Thompson who was essentially responsible for bringing down Barry Switzer at Oklahoma. He would have been in the mix for starter at Oklahoma but broke his foot in fall camp, putting him behind. The emergence of Trevor Knight at the Sugar Bowl sealed the deal.
This is just great news.
Now if you read this blog you know I love Travis Wilson. I think he’s a player and a warrior. And before he hurt his hand he was a hell of a QB. But what this does is both provide competition and depth. If Kendal is even better, well then that is great for us. If he isn’t, it means Travis beat him out and, well great for us.
Utah has a really solid QB situation right now, upper class depth, young talent, maybe the best overall situation we’ve ever had, depending upon how you compare it to Alex Smith/Brian Johnson. We certainly have more talent now.
So welcome Kendal and I ask again..
Is everything Ute starting to come up… ROSES?
