The Utah football team is 4-0 on the season and is preparing to really make a run through the Big 12. The next team standing in their way, however, is a pretty good one who is at least holding out hope they might be able to make that kind of run as well.
The Arizona Wildcats, like the Utes, as new to the Big 12. They’re both trying to show their new conference that it’s a bit of a step down from the old Pac-12. But if the Wildcats want to do that, they’re going to have win in a stadium they’re familiar with.
The Utah football team and its fans have worked hard to make Rice-Eccles a tough place to play for the visitors. And while U of A’s new head coach, Brent Brennan might not be as familiar with the Utes as some of his players, he knows he’s going into a lion’s den.
"Outside of Oregon, Utah is the hardest place to play in the west...those (stadiums) are always the most challenging in terms of crowd involvement, engagement, and the level of noise you have to deal with,” Brennan said on Monday during his media availability.
Utah football will make it tough for Arizona
While it’s still an open question as to whether Cam Rising will be the starter, or weather it will be Isaac Wilson, the Utes have the added bonus of going for revenge from last year’s 42-18 loss in Tucson.
Utah football winning this game will be another big step towards their eventually Big 12 title goal.
