Utah Utes Baseball: C.J. Cron Makes MLB Debut

I don’t write about Utah Basketball very much.  Lack of coverage of the “Pinging Utes” is because of two factors really, they’re not very good and you don’t care.  I don’t blame you people for that, Utah is always going to struggle to be good at baseball.

But there was one time…

Utah made a run in the MWC tournament powered by Cron, beating Sandy Eggo State and phenom Stephen Strasburg in the process, or at least I’m hoping I recall that correctly.  Utah Utes baseball made it to some part of the NCAA baseball tournament not played in Omaha and were promptly dismissed.

But Cron has toiled in the Angels farm system and this is what he has done in the few days that he’s been up.  Hitting 5 for 9 and a batting average of .556.  No stat geeks I don’t have all his made up nerd stats.
