Utah Utes Football: Feeling Pac12ey

I fully acknowledge I might be drinking the red spring kool aid here, but hearing the practice reports and talking to the folks, “in the know” that I trust, this Utah Utes Football team feels exciting, refreshing and new, like the first time you have a 7up.
First off, it’s just the idea that we don’t have a lot of ifs with this team, like if we stay healthy and if someone can develop and if if if… We have talent and some depth. And I suppose that makes sense since this is the first time we’ve played with anything close to a full team that were recruited to play Pac-12 football.
Yesterday it sounds like the offense started to get things, which is right on schedule. Travis Wilson is starting to look like pre-injury Travis Wilson and our last best hope if he gets hurt isn’t Adam Schulz, bless his heart. All of that is before Mr. Kendal Thompson arrives in June.
We’ve got talent development at RB and it sounds like the Wide Receivers are renewed under Coach Stubblefield.
On the defensive side of the ball, Gionni Paul sounds like the stud we hoped he’d be and Coach Shah’s DB’s are getting rave reviews.
And like a cherry on top of a wonderful Sundae, we might have the best returning kicking tandem in the Pac-12 with Phillips and Hackett.
So like I say, this just might be the Kool Aid talking but I’m feeling good.
Give me another tall one, because I don’t want this to stop till it has to.
