Looks like there are some early signs from Utah football first spring days that things are well.
On the QB front, it seems that Connor Manning has looked very good. That should be expected as he is a bit of a clone of Chase Daniels who starred in Christensen’s offense at Missouri. A guy who isn’t big and was under recruited. Neither are awesome runners but are both smart and very accurate.
Combine Conner with what we know that we have. Travis Wilson is very good when healthy. Plus Kendal Thompson comes in June for immediate help and Donovan Isom gets here for the future. And none of that mentioned Brandon Cox or Adam Sharp.
Utah has gone from a QB wasteland to maybe the most depth the program has ever had.
On top of that it looks like Micah Thomas will be moving to Wide Receiver. The kid is supposed to be a crazy athlete and having another one of those on offense can’t hurt.
I also read that Gionni Paul is so respected by his teammates that he was voted captain and that he’ll find his way into all Ute fans hearts.
Also there are good early reports about Taylor Stubblefield handling the receivers.
All in all, things are off to a good start.
