Utah Hoops v Washington: Pac-12 Tourney Style

So here we are at the Pac-12 tourney.
I expect that nothing short of a tournament title gets Utah into the NCAA tournament. But a long NIT run just might be very helpful to this team.
But it all starts today vs Washington. I’ll say upfront that I expect Utah to win this game. Larry has done well against teams that are slumping, see even our first year blow out of Arizona State.
Here is the concern. Lorenzo Romar has to be coaching for his job. Having just hired Chris Petersen, Romar has to be looking like an old pair of shoes that used to be great right about now. Not to mention that 9th seed can’t be sitting well. People aren’t going to games, so yeah, there is a whole list of issues.
On top of that, CJ Wilcox was left off the All Pac-12 first team despite averaging nearly 19-4-3. He might just want to send a message against his home state team.
I expect a win but something about this is bothering me. So we’ll see.
If life allows I’ll be back for halftime and post-game thoughts.
