I just had someone tweet me that this game just doesn’t matter because we were going to lose anyway.
Wow, I disagree.
It is one thing to lose, its quite another to come out at the half and not compete. My initial reactions are:
- Jordan Loveridge has to solve this disappearing act problem. You never know when it’s coming but just now and again he tosses up a goose egg of a game. Must have consistency.
- I cannot wait for Renan Lenz to graduate. We’re nearly done with two seasons and I still don’t in any way get Larry’s fascination with this guy. Is it the terrible chin beard?
- Where did Fields go? He came out, gave a great effort and then hasn’t played again.
I don’t think it’s a good thing that Utah came out and laid down. The one thing this team had going for it was that it always competed. And now it hasn’t.
Combine that with an angry Arizona team coming to SLC, not to mention a hungry ASU team who will have from Wednesday to Sunday to rest and well, I don’t feel good at all right now.
