Utah Utes Football: Signing Day

facebooktwitterreddit

It’s National Letter of Intent Day, which is much like the movie Training Day but with more gunfire and corruption.

Here is a link to the Utes Official Signing Page.  Also follow the good folks at the Utah Scout and Rivals site if you want more recruiting information that you could ever hope to assimilate.

I’ll be back now and then to give some thoughts on our class.

It does look like neither Kenyon Frison nor D.J. Law will go our way. Tavaris Williams from Florida got late offers from Georgia, Auburn and Oregon and stayed with Utah.  So that’s cool.

Update 11:55 AM: The fascinating story of the morning is DJ Law.  It seems DJ very much wants to be a Ute but his parents

have been given a bunch of money

want him to go to Ole Miss.  They won’t sign his LOI.  I have my concerns when the parents don’t want a kid to go somewhere because we’ve lost kids like this before.

Also Kenyon Frison committed to Oklahoma.  Tough loss for the Utes but like I said, it’s hard to know what is going to appeal to a 17 year old kid.

I think the names Tavaris Williams, Travonne Hobbs and Donovan Isom will be names Ute fans remember in the future.
