So there I was yesterday basking in the Denver Bronco’s triumphant return to the Super Bowl and in my head planning a, “whole lot is going right with Utah Football when something happened across my Twitter timeline.

4 Star Offensive Lineman Kenyon Frison has decommitted and did so with an exclamation point.

Now that sucks as you can generally always use a four star lineman on your team.  But then I saw the tweets coming that this was one more sign of the total collapse of Utah Football.  This is a line of thought that also happened when Dave Christiansen hired his offensive line coach from Wyoming.  Which also was apparently a big mistake, not that there is anyone out there with the ability to judge offensive line coaches.

And this was continued from people being mad that we took a shot and hired a guy who was one of the best coordinators in the nation after Jay Hill took the head job at Weber St.

What concerns me is not the actual direction of Utah Football.  I’m pretty happy and excited about things.  The Utes have a whole lot going right.  And while it sucks losing a four star kid, I’m not freaking out over the whim of a 17 year old kid who just went down to Arizona St. I mean have you been to ASU.  Its just hordes of the hottest women around roaming around drinking and looking to hook up.  Combine that with the fact you’re not required to study to get your degree and well I don’t know how they ever lose a recruit.

What concerns me is that our fans have reached that place where they bitch about who was hired as offensive line coach.  Once you reach that point, not much brings them back, not even winning.  Unless it’s gobs and gobs of winning to the point where all but the dumbest among us can’t deny it.  And since we have an Athletic Director whose motto is GIVE THEM BLOOD WHEN THEY DEMAND IT, well, it’s a concerning situation.

What I didn’t think was true, just might be.  Maybe Kyle is on the hot seat and I was too blind to see it thinking common sense would rule the day among most fans.
