So the Backness Tour 2013/14 continues tonight in Seattle, Washington as your Runnin’ Utes head to play the Huskies of Washington.
Now during the OOC, this started to look like a road trip that the Utes could possibly, dare I say, sweep it. A fourteen point loss to UC Irvine doesn’t exactly instill fear into anyone.
And then the Arizona trip happened.
Washington went down to the desert and promptly kicked Arizona St.’s ass. An ASU team that had been looking solid and followed it up but giving the #1 team in the land, Arizona, all they could want and more.
And when you think of Utah’s win up there last year, UW essentially didn’t show up for it.
So what happens this year.
Well, who knows. UW is led by the one who got away CJ Wilcox, who it should be noted as never really had an awesome game vs Utah. Andrew Andrews, Nigel William Goss and Perris Blackwell all average in double figures.
And don’t forget Shawn Kemp Jr.
Utah on the other hand has been pretty consistent. We haven’t lost to anyone we shouldn’t, and with BYU looking how they have, maybe we haven’t beaten anyone we shouldn’t either. But in late game situations they’ve looked like monkey’s humping footballs.
Essentially I’ve written two hundred plus words to tell you tonight is a total crapshoot.
Analysis like that is why I get paid the big bucks.
