If the season had to end, that was a good way to do it.

Utah went out capitalized on a couple of turnovers.  Survived a horrid call and a late rally by Colorado and ends the season on a 5-7 note.

Special shout out to Trevor Reilly for ending the game with an interception and throwing the ball and his helmet quite nicely.  You had an awesome year Trevor, a first team All-Pac-12 season and best linebacker in the state season.  Thank you for all you did.

Adam Schulz kept being Adam Schulz.  I don’t love his quarterbacking but the kid is tough.  Apparently we were willing to burn Connor Manning’s redshirt even in the 4th quarter.  I find that troubling, but we’ll deal with that later.

We’ll spend a lot of time on this season in the weeks ahead, but I think one quote sums up what this season was.  And it comes from my friend and author of 100 Things Utah Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die, Pat Sheltra

"We’re far from best, nowhere close to worst. But the 2013 #Utes were the most compelling, cursed, tormented unit we have ever fielded."

I don’t know of a better way to put it than that.  It was a fascinating year and I wish it had another game.  But seniors thank you for all you did and I for one at least am excited about the future.
