So I’ve been thinking about this game.  And it’s difficult to put into words.

First all of you who want to fire coaches or think the world is over, well I don’t get you.  So I’ll just move on.

We did a great deal many things right.  And I think at the end of the day it just shows how close the margin between winning and losing in the Pac-12 is.

I mean we could complain about Travis Wilson.  His three picks led to 17 points.  If we don’t have just one of them we probably win the game.  However, how amazing was the Angry Giraffe, 280 in the air, 140 on the ground and he accounts for five touchdowns.  The future is so bright for him, I think we need a welding mask.  So I can’t say too many bad things.

And yeah, the defense isn’t great right now.  Maybe bad is the right word.  But if we don’t have the pick six, we win the game.  Or if Michael Walker picks off the final touchdown (the ball went right through his hands), we’re celebrating today, saying we got in a shoot out but the D did enough to win.

None of this mentions that in a must win game, Sean Mannion and Brandon Cooks were just magnificent.

I know very little of this makes last nights loss easier to take.  But we aren’t miles away.  This team fights and scraps.  The D did get two three and outs to allow us to take a brief lead.  Our sophomore QB made some serious mistakes but bounced back so incredibly that we are all inspired by him.  And Andy Phillips is just a breath of fresh air in the kicking game.

Yeah a lot of you feel like the world is over, but to me this team feels much closer to it all coming together than it all blowing up.

Have some faith.
