EA Sports NCAA ’14 Power Rankings…

Thanks to the fine folks at Kegs N Eggs, the Power Rankings for EA Sports are out.  If you want to see the complete list, well follow this link.

Here is the Pac-12

Arizona 86, 86, 88

Arizona State 84, 86, 83

Cal 84, 86, 83

Colorado 79, 81, 78

Oregon 95, 99, 92

Oregon State 84, 86, 83

Stanford 91, 91, 93

UCLA 88, 88, 87

USC 91, 95, 90

Utah 86, 84, 87

Washington 91, 91, 90

Washington State 81, 83, 80

So if EA Sports is picking the Pac-12 according to these Power Rankings

Pac-12 North: 1. Oregon, 2. (tie) Stanford and Washington, 4. (tie) Cal and Oregon St. 6. Wazzu

Pac-12 South: 1. USC, 2. UCLA, 3. (tie) Arizona and Utah, 5. Arizona St. 6. Colorado

My initial thoughts are, Washington and USC are ranked too high.  They also think too much of Arizona having defense.  It also seems odd to drop Arizona St. that low.

Here are some other teams of interest…

Alabama 99, 99, 99

BYU 83, 84, 83

Boise State 86, 90, 82

Ohio State 95, 97, 92

Utah State 75, 77, 75

Really, Alabama gets a 99 on offense?  Are we serious with that? Really?

Other thoughts are, Boise seems to be coming back to earth according to EA.  BYU fans will riot over those numbers, but they riot over their numbers every year.  And Utah St. gets no respect at all.

So what are your thoughts.  What did EA Sports get right, what did they get wrong.  Do you think USC is the best team in the Pac-12 South.  Is Washington that good?
