Utah Utes Basketball Stumbles Into the Home Stretch
Utah Utah’s Basketball of the 2012-13 season enters the final stretch tonight beginning its Bay Area roadie with the Golden Bears of Cal. Cal as we all know by know is led by the talented Allen Crabbe, who responds quite well to being shoved. His partner in crime is junior guard Justin Cobbs.
The Utes will be led by which ever players happen to show up and have a good game. Washburn will probably be pretty solid. I wish I was joking.
Last time out Cal manhandled Utah for most of the game only Utah made a late run to make the game seem closer than it was. The Golden Bears have won 8 of 10 and are fighting to secure their place in the NCAA tourney, something a late loss to Utah at home will not help at all. It would be even worse for their seeding.
Utah is fighting for a few more simple goals. The Utes first hope to win their 4th game in the Pac-12 surpassing last years total of three. Second the team is looking for their 10th Division one win of the season. Not getting over 10 D-1 wins would have to be considered a complete disaster for this team.
Tomorrow, we’re going to take a very close look at our very crowded front court and who might not be around for next season.
