Here Comes The Buffaloes…

The Utah Utes basketball schedule continues tonight with the Colorado Buffaloes.  And this game is almost the mirror image of the football season.  The Utes are limping along while the Buffs are playing a season that they thought would go much much better.  And to make matters more complicated for the Utes, Jordan Loveridge will not play.

If you don’t know much about the the Buffalos they are led by a couple of super sophomores in Spencer Dinwiddie and Askia Booker not to mention do everything junior Andre Roberson.  Colorado’s season was a millisecond away from getting off to a good start, but their last second shot was waived off in their opener against the Arizona Wildcats.  Colorado seemed to struggle after that but has three straight.

Utah on the other hand is going the wrong way.  After some early close losses, a freak shooting night in Seattle against the Washington Huskies is all that stands between the Utes and a winless Pac-12 season.  Things would only seem to get tougher with Loveridge our leading scorer and rebounder, sitting out.

So what to expect.  Well it is honor Majerus night so perhaps we’ll have another night where we shoot 70% and win.  But somehow it feels like most of the Pac-12 has taken notice that you can’t sleep on us, but as long as you prepare you’ll be fine.  That is everyone but Lorenzo Romar.  And I don’t think Tad Boyle is Lorenzo Romar.
