Utah Utes Football: Eyewitness Practice Report

Because we here at Hoyo’s Revenge love you a great deal, we have put our extensive network to work in order to tell you what is going on spring practice wears on.

Let’s start with the QB’s.  Jordan Wynn is clearly the star now.  His touch on deep balls and his ability to throw a tight ball are looking as good as ever.  The freshmen, while very talented freshmen, are looking like freshmen.  Let’s celebrate that they’re in the program and hope we don’t have to throw one of them to the wolves.  Our spy mentioned that Travis Wilson spent much of Tuesday being yelled at by Brian Johnson for doing a lot of things not quite right.

However, the surprise might be Wisconsin walk-on Adam Schultz.  In live drills he continually looks better than the freshmen.  I would expect that to change come the fall in the same manner Jordan Wynn exploded between Spring and Fall when he came to the U.  But it sounds like if we need a stopgap measure, Schultz may have moved past Jon Hays.

The receivers are what really impress.  While our man said he might hesitate to say we have the best group in the conference, we certainly may have the deepest.  And we have speed, skill and size.  A special compliment went out to Jake Murphy as well who seems to catch everything thrown at him.

The offensive line will be eagerly awaiting the talent infusion coming this summer and probably looking forward to not going against our defensive line.

As for the defense, they look good everywhere.  The defensive back twos aren’t as good as the ones but if they were, they’d be the ones.  Nate Fakahafua was mentioned as a real standout.

And that is this weeks Utah Football Practice Report.
