A Look at Some Teams Still Playing Basketball
Hey kids, just thought I’d hit on a few of the NCAA teams we’re following to show you where we’re at.
Colorado St.- The Rams lost by 10 in the MWC Semi-Final last night to Sandy Eggo St. One would guess at this point the Rams have done enough to get to the dance unless a bizarre amount of upsets happen between now and the Selection Show.
You already know St. Mary’s is in and Gonzaga is almost certainly in.
Check out the Big West Tourney final today if you can. On one side is Long Beach St., 15-1 in the Big West and having a heck of a season against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. For you kids who followed us from our old Crimson’s Corner site, you know we’ve followed the Gauchos since early in the year. They’ve played several teams tough including SDSU and UNLV. The Beach is also short-handed so don’t be surprised if the Gauchos go dancing.
St. Louis- The Billikens have certainly locked up a spot in the dance with their win last night over LaSalle. They face a tough Xavier team and Rick Majerus’ hatred of conference tournaments can always be a problem.
Also check out the MWC final if you can find it. It seems New Mexico did last night what BYU never could, beat Vegas in the MWC tourney. Los Lobos will face SDSU tonight in the MWC tourney final. Should be a HECK of a game. Check that one out too.
Finally we go to the Pac-12. The Pac-12 champion Huskies were eliminated on Thursday by Oregon St. The second place Cal Bears were eliminated by Colorado last night. Meaning Arizona will play Colorado for the Pac-12 title. Both teams are winner goes loser stays home. Plus it would be hard to believe both Cal and Washington get in at this point. Another fascinating storyline. One more game to watch.
Get ready for the Dance folks.
