Year 5 is the last year of his contract meaning you have to give an extension here.  No coach coaches in the last year of their contract.

Lets say you give a one year extension

Year 5- 14 wins no post season

Do you extend again.  Now at this point almost no Ute fan would extend.  But lets say you do.

Year 6- 11 wins no post season

Now we’re down to exactly three Ute fans who would want to keep this coach.  If he was a Utah, he is almost certainly fired.

Year  8-  22 Wins NIT Second Round
Year  9-  26 Wins NIT Semi-Finals

Not to mention having just landed two maybe three four star recruits and could quite possible be looking at a final four in the next two years.
