Exciting Announcement for this Blog…

The fine folks at Fansided.com are working very hard to build a huge network of sports blogs ranging from college to pro and sport to sport.

They have asked me to become lead editor of their blog for the University of Utah and I have accepted.

So what does that mean?

First, there is going to be a name change.  And that name is…

HOYO’S REVENGE

For those who don’t know, Hoyo was a little Indian Boy that Utah developed in the 1950’s and used as a mascot until they started to do away with such things in the 1970’s.

Outside of that, not much else is going to change.  You’ll enjoy the same snarky commentary you’ve grown to love, in fact maybe a couple of you might like to write some snarky commentary as well.  I’d welcome you with open arms.

It will me some more eyes on me which will certainly be fun.  Mandi and her picks deserve a worldwide audience.

Also I’ll be competing with BlockU run by my good friend Sean Reynolds.  But I don’t know why you’d read him any more as rumor has it he smells bad and picks his nose.  Seriously, I owe Sean a beer or something he had everything to do with me starting this, linking me and Fansided finding me.

It will be a few weeks before we switch the new name as Fansided rolls out version 3.0 of their blog.  This is exciting for me and I’d like to thank those guys again for finding me and giving me this chance.
