Can “Swamy” also be the Offensive Coordinator?

Yesterday we learned that Utah’s never ended search for a University President is down to two people, Kumble R. Subbaswamy, Provost from the University of Kentucky and David R. Pershing, Provost from our own University of Utah.  Nothing against Dr. Pershing but I certainly hope Dr. Subbaswamy gets the job.  I always think new idea’s and fresh perspectives are a great thing.  Plus all of Utah’s presidents have been white males and all but two have been LDS.  Isn’t it time for a change.  And none of this is to bash Dr. Pershing.  His qualifications are excellent and I’ve heard good things about him.  It’s just that he’s been at Utah since 1977.  And Dr. Subbaswamy’s nickname is “Swamy,” how cool is that.

But a greater question persists, how good of an offensive coordinator is he, because seriously this OC search seems to be dragging on longer than the President’s search did.

Kyle gets a pass from a great big rant from me because he’s done so much right, but I do have to wonder, what the hell is taking SO VERY LONG?  If it was someone from a smaller school, wouldn’t they be here.  If its going to be A-Rod, why not just make the promotion?

Its’s going to be very sad if we come all this way and our OC is a meh name?  I mean I get it’s not going to be Norm Chow, but I’d like it to be something.

But like I say, Kyle gets a pass on the name and has my trust.  FOR NOW.  MOOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
