This Keeps Getting Better Larry…

A few weeks ago I wrote about the idea of firing Larry after the Fresno debacle.  After yesterday my case is only stronger.  It’s not the losing, it’s the way it’s happening.  Losing by 40 at Colorado.  Players just don’t show any real interest.  Guys who are fighting for jobs because Larry is going to send several of them packing, have no real interest in trying to winning those jobs.  That is a big deal.

For some reason, many Ute fans have decided to ignore all this.  This same group that demanded we fire Jim Boylen because of lack of discipline and coaching has chosen to ignore a problem that is 10X’s worse.  Last year the scream was, “it can’t get any worse.”  Well it clearly can, A LOT WORSE.

But since we’re finally there, AT ROCK BOTTOM (and this is what ROCK BOTTOM) actually looks like folks, lets really just start over.  Lets go pay (probably a lot) for a coach whose claim to fame isn’t beating Nevada.  A coach other schools want.  If we’ll write a check, someone will come.

This experiment is a horrible failure.  And all Larry had to do was get a bunch of guys to give just a bit of a shit.  He couldn’t do that.  We have a choice here.  It’s time to say good bye.
