Ute Mascot Likely Costing Us Money, Change Would Make Money

It’s late Friday night and the Red Rocks just failed to make the Super Six, but I thought this was worthy to get up.

A study from Emory University shows that Native American mascots are costing college and pro teams money.  Changing, while coming with a short term cost creates a long term windfall.

The gist of the argument is that the controversy has a cost while keeping the mascot doesn’t have any additional benefit.

I have to say that makes a hell of a lot of sense
