If you kids are wondering where Utah will finish the regular season in the Pac-12, there is a game in Eugene tonight that will go A LONG WAY, to helping determine that.

Arizona St visits Oregon.

The Utes are tied with Oregon at 8-8 and sit two games back of Arizona St. (10-6).  In the HoyoScale Standings Oregon and Arizona St. are both +1 and Utah stands at -1.

The ideal would be for Utah to get to the sixth seed for the Pac-12 tournament.  Besides being a great achievement, it would do one other thing, keep Utah from facing UCLA or Arizona until the semi-finals in Vegas.  That might get Utah two wins in Vegas at least and if we can combine it with a win on the road here, puts us in very serious bubble talk.

And something that would help a great deal would be ASU winning in Eugene.  Oregon holds a tie breaker against us and since we’re two games behind ASU, we likely won’t catch them.  A Utah win plus a Duck loss puts Utah a game up.

So you might want to keep an eye on what goes on at Oregon tonight.
