Tonights Pac-12 Hoops Preview

The Pac-12 kicks off it’s second to last week of the regular season tonight with games down in the desert. Cal is at Arizona and Stanford goes to Arizona St.

Cal is one of two teams to defeat Arizona, on a last second shot by Justin Cobbs, in the game Arizona lost Ashley.  Arizona struggled with offense but may have found its way moving Gabe York to the starting lineup and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson back to the bench.  I’d expect Arizona to take care of this one.

Arizona St. hosts Cal in this one.  The Sun Devils had a chance to make some real noise after defeating Arizona at home but instead looked awful on the Utah-Colorado road swing.  Stanford has won four of five and six of their last eight.  The Cardinal are looking to shore up their seed position which Joe Lunardi currently has as a 9 seed.  Stanford is fully capable of winning this game and who knows which ASU team shows up.  I’m leaning towards Stanford here.

Be back to cover the Thursday games tomorrow.
