So I finally got a chance to watch some more of the Utah-ASU game.  I don’t have ESPN U, didn’t realize the game was on ESPN U right until tip and my illegal streaming site was being glitchy.  So I got the game from Yahoo and Twitter.

The Utes played their best game of the year or at least the best since the BYU game.  In fact we played so well I was wondering if we somehow honored Majerus before the game.

And Arizona St. coming out like that is just the most ASU thing ever.  Here are the Sun Devils, fresh off beating Arizona, and then come to Colorado and Utah and just crap the bed.  Everything was set for them.  They played Arizona on a Friday, at Colorado on Wednesday and then they don’t have to play until Sunday and they don’t step up?

It’s why Herb Sendek will be out of a job in the not too distant future.

As for the Utes, I think everyone had to know it was going to be one of those nights when Renan Lenz didn’t look like a monkey humping a football.  Everyone played well.  The one thing I wonder, the game was such a blow out, why did we still have Delon go 37 minutes and Jordan 35.  BTW, it was nice for Jordan Loveridge to get his game out of the witness protection program that it’s been in.

The question now becomes, can the Utes build on it?  Because that’s been the real issue.  On Saturday, Colorado, coached by Tad Boyle, comes to town.  Boyle has to be considered for coach of the year after he survived the Dinwiddie injury.  A lot of road wins come on the rival weeks.

If Utah can do what they did versus ASU, they can lock down that NIT berth and maybe set up another season ending run like last year.  If the Utes lose, it might be a three game losing streak heading to Vegas.

Another big game coming our way.
