Tonight two pieces of football news broke for the Utes, one amazing and one awful.

First, DL Moana Ofahengaue has a severe injury caused by a bike accident on Sunday night.  Everyone’s prayers go out to him and his family.  Get well man.

Second, Travis Wilson has been cleared to play.  This was confirmed first by his Instagram account and then by Voice of the Utes Bill Reilly.  Now if you follow this blog you knew that there was a good chance of this happening.  Hoyo’s Revenge medical consultant and my wife Cheryl McIntosh who is a third year medical student explained what was likely being seen.  Especially since they didn’t come out and say it was AVM.

Likely the CT scan revealed the presence of old blood, but the follow up MRI-Angiogram did not reveal an active bleed.  That is why they could wait and retest.  If there was no new blood and no evidence of a blood vessel problem, there would be no reason Travis Wilson couldn’t continue his career.

We’ll know for sure tomorrow, but that is the best guess from right now.

Again our prayers to MO and welcome back to the Bulldog Travis Wilson.
