Well in a few hours Utah will take on Oregon up in Eugene.

And as we’ve heard Travis Wilson along with Kelvin York and Jared Norris will not play.

So what does that mean.  It seems Adam Schulz will handle the quarterbacking duties and it’s unclear to me what would happen if he got an injury.  Would seem to be a shame to have to burn a redshirt this late in the year.  So I don’t really know.

As for the game, well, the plan would be something similar to what we did to Arizona St.  Except Oregon is better than Arizona St. and pissed off and desperate after coming off their loss to Stanford.

Utah on the other hand needs two wins to get to a bowl game and wasn’t likely to get one in Eugene no matter how healthy we were.  I don’t know how serious Travis Wilson’s issues are but it’s better to be safe than sorry and have him ready for the stretch run.

So maybe we can run the ball at Oregon, like we did against Arizona St.  If we can combine that with some good defense and maybe a few Oregon mistakes, Utah can extend the game into the 4th quarter and then who knows.

We’re all pretty resigned to a loss in this one, but I hope we put up a fight.  I’ll be back with halftime and post game commentary.
