3 and 1 is 3 and 1…

First I’m going to do something that is a lot easier to do when you win.  Give a ton of credit to BYU.  You could tell they wanted this game very badly and they left it all on the field.

Thank Goodness we’re better.

First I’ll allow myself a couple of bitches.

1. No way that BYU challenge on the incomplete pass was interpreted correctly.  You can’t mug someone until the tip happens.  Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think so.

2. Eric Rowe was stupid, but I look at Cody Bills and JD Falsev all night and they serious flag Rowe and not them?  Come on.

Other Thoughts.

Kyle Van Noy is good but he never beat Utah.

Massive credit to Sitake for forcing BYU to totally abandon the run.  Credit to Hill and Hoffman for doing enough to stay around.

Travis Wilson remains a warrior.

I think this team is what it is.  This defense has it’s issues but they did what they needed to tonight.  And this team is gutty, the fight and they do what they need to do.  We’re Michael Walker picking off the Mannion pass from being undefeated.  And that is nothing what so ever to sneeze at.

I don’t know what this season will hold for this team.  I think we make a bowl and we might just do more.  But I’m proud of this team.  They fight and they’re a joy to watch.  So let’s try and save the bitching.  I’ll be back with deeper thoughts tomorrow.

Tonight is a good night.

GO UTES.
