Utah Womens Basketball Makes the Womens NIT

Women’s NIT FEVER…. CATCH IT

Ok I’m being a bit snarky, but it’s very exciting for the Utah Womens Basketball team to be headed to post season play.  They will play at Long Beach State with a second round matchup looming against San Diego (not State) or Hawaii with a possible Sweet 16 game against Washington.

As much as Utah teams have struggled with our Pac-12 transition, lets try and give the Lady Utes (do we still call them that) our support.  This has been a solid program and they easily out performed their male counter parts this year.  So props to Michelle Plouffe and the entire team.  VERY BIG DEAL.

Also BYU made the WNIT as well, with a possible sweet 16 matchup with Wyoming.  If that game was at Wyoming, I wish I could be there because those folks in Laramie haven’t been able to taunt BYU for two years now.  Imagine what they could come up with.
