Utah Utes Basketball- A Three Game Roadie Begins in Boulder…

Utah Utes basketball has a chance to do something it hasn’t done in quite awhile, sweep a basketball team for the season.

When last we saw the mighty Buffaloes of Colorado, they were falling just short of causing Utah to blow another 20 point 2nd half lead.  Instead the Buffs took a big ol’ stumble on the way to the NCAA tourney.  Since then Colorado has won 3 of 4 but were shocked in the last second against an Arizona St. team fresh off of a lost to Utah.

So what does that mean.  Well it means we’re a must win for Colorado.  In fact it would do Colorado well not to have any mistakes down the stretch.  Their resume is probably strong enough to survive a loss to say Oregon, but you start losing to the likes of Utah and Oregon St., well you’ve got a problem.

Colorado is again led by Spencer Dinwiddie and Askia Booker, not to mention the player we cloned Jordan Loveridge from Andre Roberson.

Utah is evolving into a new team being led by a bunch of kids, but at times they’re finding it more effective.  Jeremy Olsen and Dakari Tucker who seems to have returned from the ends of the earth seem especially intriguing.  The Utes have played solid twice in a row, so if they could turn that into three, their might be some actual positive signs for the first time all year.

So tomorrow night in Boulder, we’ll see if Utah can take another step.
