Ute Athletics Has a Good Weekend Finally

In what has not been a great year for Utah Athletics, this was a good weekend.

First in Football- Utah received two commitments, one from Star Lotulelei’s brother Lowell.  The other is a giant offensive tackle from Texas Salasi Uhatafe.

Men’s Basketball-  The Men’s team shoots 60% in a shocking win over Washington in Larry’s first Pac-12 road win and first Pac-12 win this season.  Maybe this is the actual turn of the corner.

Women’s Basketball- Our women’s team also got their first win of the season in the Pac-12 against Arizona State.

Gymnastics-  The Red Rocks bounced back in a big way from a horrid start at UCLA to dominate a 4 way meet.  My gymnastics guru’s tell me that as the Red Rocks come to Tucson this week that they should be looking good.  This edition of the Red Rocks is very young and the way they came back at home is a very big deal.

Happy MLK Day Folks and we’ll be back tomorrow.
