And Just When You Think We’re Getting Better, We Start Sucking Again…

Having not seen last nights game, its hard to have too many thoughts.  Other than it is quite clear we were GAWDAWFUL in the first half.  I’m actually not going to kill Larry this time around.  OSU does some unusual things especially that defense, things that give an inexperienced team fits.  My guess is it will continue next year when we have our third brand new team in three seasons.  Unless of course Craig Robinson doesn’t survive the season, which I suspect he will.

So what do we have left?  And almost certain thumping at the hands of an Oregon team making a very good case that they should get a 3rd bid from the Pac-12 if there is a 3rd bid.  While there is a lot of disappointment around the Pac-12 this year, Oregon is one team that has to be pleased as punch right about now.

Next year should be quite interesting across the Pac-12.  Arizona has a monster recruiting  class, maybe the best in the nation with two McDonalds All Americans.  Several other schools have very good recruiting classes.  Which brings us back around to, where does that leave the Utes?

Well as everyone has said, we’ll clearly be better than this year.  But what does that elevate us to.  We can probably be better than USC and Wazzu if Ken Bone is indeed out the door (and perhaps even if he isnt).  Also getting to where ASU is, might be possible depending upon who returns from injury and what happens with Sendek.  So my guess would be that 6ish win level and around 9th in the Pac-12.

Thoughts?
