Repent, The End is Nigh…

Starting tonight and then on Saturday, four basketball games will happen.  The teams playing are Utah, UCLA, USC and Colorado.  Between them, they have only 33 wins.  And the best among them is Colorado.

How can that not be a sign of the apocalypse?

Not to mention that USC had an actual scandal to make them somewhere between as bad to worse than Utah in their self imposed death penalty year.

Things seem to have fallen apart at UCLA as well and Ben Howland will join Kevin O’Neill in the unemployment line.

And Colorado is taking a run at the Pac-12 title (also joined by the Oregon Ducks).

What a strange year in Pac-12 hoops.

A friend asked me a question, how many Pac-12 coaches will still be at their school or left of their own choice.  That list includes Miller, Montgomery and Altman.  It also probably includes Romar , Dawkins and Tad Boyle.

Howland and O’Neill as I have said are gone, joining them will be Herb Sendek.   President Obama’s brother in law is gone unless a miracle occurs.  Ken Bone probably gets one more year.  And then there is the Larry question which we’ve gone into a great deal already.

The Pac-12 will have 5 new coaches most likely in the next two years.

Whatever is going on in this conference, it scares the hell out of me.
